REDUCTION MAMMOPLASTY

In some women, breasts develop in a very pronounced manner, and over time, back pain, sagging breasts, and a negative impact on self-esteem may occur. Therefore, it becomes necessary to reduce them in order to decrease volume and improve their shape and position. The specific surgical technique will be determined during the evaluation appointment, taking into account the patient’s needs, anatomy, and expectations. The procedure takes approximately two hours and is performed under general anesthesia.

Breast reduction surgery not only alleviates many symptoms associated with large breasts but, more importantly, it includes a breast lift, repositioning the nipple and areola to a higher position, and reshaping the breast to a smaller and more natural form.

Recovery time

It is an outpatient procedure and has a disability of four days.

Physical activity, such as exercise, will need to be postponed until at least 6 weeks after surgery.
